The Search S12X Coated drumhead is a popular snare drumhead due to its centered dot enhancing durability. It features increased attack filled with vibrancy and warmth. It is constructed with a single ply 12 mil coated film. A centered dot is added on the underside to maximise strength. 

The coated film has a slight coarse feel when running a finger on it.
